The Muestra de Saka by Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust is the creation of Steve Saka, owner and blender of Muestra de Saka, he wanted to showcase in one vitola his blending style catching a glimpse into the cigar-maker’s soul. Lancero fans rejoice, because Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust (DTT) has released its Lancero Collection. It’s a collection of ten different lancero blends, a size generally frowned upon by Steve Saka, hence the abbreviated name "GFY," which we don't need to spell out. The # NLMTTHA Lancero is included in the blend. Saka says six different wrappers are in the collection, including one with a Candela wrapper. For the other eight blends, Saka isn’t disclosing much in terms of details of the blends. All of the lanceros are in a classic 7 x 38 format.
Tasting Notes: The cold draw of the #NLMTHA Lancero has a cream soda taste to it with hints of vanilla. The aroma off the foot of the cigar has a subtle cedar and as I write this review the aroma coming off the coffin dominates the room which leads to me moving it out of the area of where I plan to smoke the cigar. On the initial light the cigar has a nice apple and wood profile.
Wrapper: Ecuador Habano
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaraguan Broadleaf, Criollo, Corojo
Strength: Medium - Full
Wrapper Shade: Varies
